Point! Publishing is sad to announce the loss of Jeff Levine, editor-at-large of Pompano! Magazine, who died of cardiac arrest on August 17 at age 58.

His monthly column in the magazine, as well as his online posts, offered his unique perspective on the Pompano Beach issues he was passionate about covering, particularly the development boom the city is currently experiencing. His writing was marked by his ability to blend intelligence with humor.

Jeff was a cherished colleague and friend, whose guidance and advice were highly valued. A native of New York, his media career included working as program director of WBAB FM Radio, one of Long Island’s most popular media outlets. He was also an executive at newspapers such as New York-based Newsday, The Hartford Courant and the Sun Sentinel.

Jeff enriched our lives and our work. We are grateful to have known him. He will be greatly missed.
