Waldorf Astoria – the globally-known luxury brand of hotels and resorts by Hilton – will launch a brand-new residential concept in Pompano Beach. Waldorf Astoria Residences, a joint venture by local developers Related Group and Merrimac Ventures in partnership with Hilton, will be a first-class, luxury residential tower consisting of 92 residential units, a café with room service, a poolside dining establishment with private cabanas, jacuzzi, wellness facilities and two dozen boat slips.

The two-acre site at 1350 S. Ocean Blvd. is just about a mile south of the Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier.

“We set out to distill the timeless elegance and exclusivity of the Waldorf Astoria brand into a purely residential format,” said Nick Perez, president of Related’s condominium development group. “From the design and architecture to the resident services, we’ve pulled out all the stops to ensure this property fully embodies the Waldorf Astoria brand. There is no compromise in our approach and we are so excited to see how the market reacts to this incredible development.”

The tower’s modern design, which features sleek curved edges and eye-catching contemporary details, was spearheaded by Miami-based Nichols Architects. Nichols, the architect group behind the Diplomat Beach Resort and Convention Centerthe W South Beach and Miami World Tower, is known for creating stunning buildings that have helped shape Miami’s modern aesthetic. Nichols worked in collaboration with KORA, BAMO and Enea Landscape Architecture to envision the residences.

The building will give nod to the Waldorf Astoria by incorporating some of the brand’s signature resort elements, including Peacock Alley, a feature present at many Waldorf Astoria properties around the world. The idea behind Peacock Alley is to provide a space where, like a colorful peacock, residents can “see and be seen.” The Alley will serve as the village’s main gathering area and feature a soon-to-be-announced food and beverage concept. Brand aficionados will also spot the signature clock inspired by the original at Waldorf Astoria, New York. Inside, the property will feature an assortment of art from the Jorge M. Perez Contemporary Art Collection.

Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin said the fact that a luxury, global brand like Waldorf Astoria chose Pompano Beach as its premier location for its new residential concept is telling.

“I think it speaks volumes about the success that Pompano Beach is having by investing in redevelopment, utilizing smart growth and maintaining its character,” Mayor Hardin said.

Additional highlights include a 20,000-square-foot oceanfront pool deck, complete with a lap-pool, outdoor bar and dining lounge, summer kitchens and resident cabanas, direct access to 200 linear feet of beachfront and a beachside cafe. The property will also feature a private marina, with 19 slips and the ability to accommodate vessels measuring up to 45 feet. A residents-only spa will have his and her saunas, steam rooms, a fitness center, studio and spin room.

“We are thrilled that the reputation and expectations associated with our luxury brand will reach new audiences and buyers with our evolved approach to the real estate space,” said Dino Michael, SVP & global head of Hilton Luxury Brands.

Construction of the tower is expected to be completed by late 2026. For more information visit waldorfastoriaresidencespompanobeach.com.
