[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Here’s a free event in Pompano Beach for you to check out this weekend. It’s a Whiskey tasting on Saturday evening April 27th.

Pompano Beach Discount Liquors and Fine Wine will present “Whiskey & Moonshine” featuring tasty beverages from Ole Smoky Distillery.  The event will start at 6pm and go until 9pm at their location, 652 East McNab Road in Pompano Beach.

Say hi to Soma while you are there.  He’s the owner of the shop and a big supporter of community events in Pompano Beach. Plus, he’s giving away free whiskey samples 🙂

According to Wikipedia: Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine is a corn whiskey distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Their plant in GatlinburgTennessee  includes two working copper stills. Visitors get to see the distilling process while also learning about the fascinating history of moonshine production in the Smoky Mountains region. The Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery, “The Holler”, is America’s most visited distillery. A second distillery, dubbed The Barn, opened in fall of 2014 in nearby Pigeon Forge.

Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine sells fifteen flavors of moonshine made across the country using the same authentic East Tennessee recipes that are jarred and shipped right from the company’s Gatlinburg distillery. Original Moonshine (100 proof), White Lightnin’™ (100 proof), Lightnin’ Line (80 proof): Strawberry Lightnin’, Lemon Drop Lightnin’ and Hunch Punch Lightnin’TM, and the 40 proof line including: Moonshine Cherries™, Peach Moonshine™, Apple Pie Moonshine™, Blackberry Moonshine™, Strawberry Moonshine™, Lemon Drop Moonshine™, Pineapple Moonshine, Watermelon Moonshine, Sweet Tea Moonshine and Charred Moonshine™ are available in 49 states as well as much of Canada. Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine products are bottled in a traditional Mason-style jar. The distillery uses the family’s 100-year-old  recipe.
