Real Estate website Zillow ranked the Top 25 Cities for vacation homes; Pompano Beach did amazingly well in the study that was released last week, finishing second out of all cities in the United States.

Florida was the top state in the survey. Thirteen Florida cities made the Top 25 including eight in South Florida:  #11 West Palm Beach, #10 Boynton Beach, #7 Hollywood, #6 Boca Raton, #3 Fort Lauderdale and topping the survey at #1 Miami Beach.  You can read the entire list on Business Insider by clicking here.

According to Business Insider, “Zillow used 2017 US census data to see the share of homes classified as a second home in cities with a population over 65,000. The percentage of vacation homes refers to the amount of vacation homes out of all total homes in the city.”

There are over 10,000 vacation homes in Pompano Beach, making up almost twenty percent of the city’s residential real estate according to the study.

Although you might be surprised that Pompano Beach came in second only to Miami Beach, you didn’t need a survey to tell you that there are plenty of snowbirds filling up Pompano Beach Vacation Homes.
