[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We’ve got four new restaurants in Pompano Beach for you to check out. Gorilla Joe’s Public House. Located where Jersey Dogs used to be, just east of the Atlantic Ave. Bridge in Pompano  Beach.  This small shop has a relatively small menu, but what they lack in depth, they make up for in creativity. Their sandwiches are exceptional. They serve several delicious soups (the lobster bisque was yummy), really unique salads including the burrata and watermelon, and their fresh ceviche is a must try. Prices are reasonable.  Sometimes those little hole-in-the-walls are the best places of all.

And Fish is the new eatery at the Marriott Pompano Beach Resort and Spa on A1A in Pompano Beach.  It replaced McCoy’s, which had decent food but never really caught on.  The hotel is making a major push to make And Fish a success and so far,  everything I’ve heard has been positive.

Crazy Cajun Crabs seafood restaurant is located just west of Powerline Road at 2710 W. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach.  The owners of Crazy Cajun Crabs are adding some zest to the Pompano Beach seafood restaurant scene.  Jarael Holston-Jones and his wife Yolanda are the proprietors of the new spot. The couple got their start operating a food truck and have since built a mini restaurant empire via Fat Boyz Barbecue.  The first Fat Boyz opened in Deerfield Beach in 2017.  They opened a Coral Springs location in 2018 and a Fort Lauderdale joint is set to open shortlyYou can read our more detailed review of Crazy Cajun Crabs here.

Fresh Eats585 E Sample Rd, Pompano Beach, serves fresh and healthy meals.  Their menu boasts a wide array of wraps, salads, bowls and more. All  are rather inexpensive.  We’ve also heard good things about their smoothies and other drink concoctions.

In case you missed it, one Pompano Beach restaurant has the best key lime pie in South Florida according to Sun-Sentinel restaurant critic Mike Mayo.  Click here to find out which restaurant in Pompano Beach holds the honor.
