[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Pompano Beach has more live music events happening than ever before.  You can catch cover bands on the second Friday of every month on The Great Lawn just off the beach, a full season of shows at the revitalized Pompano Beach Amphitheatre, at bars/restaurants in Pompano Beach like Galuppis and the Briny Pub and at plenty of places throughout town.

We’ve got a bunch of great cover bands supplying music in Pompano Beach over the coming few weeks including Streisand, Jersey Boys and Grateful Dead tribute events.

Pompano Beach Winter Concert Series

Pompano Beach’s Winter Concert Series has been happening since January with live performances at three of the city’s  community centers. March’s concerts include a Barbra Streisand tribute show and a Jersey Boys/Four Seasons tribute band.  March 13th it’s the Barbra Streisand tribute at Emma Lou Olson Civic Center, 1801 NE Sixth St. Pompano Beach, Next Wednesday  March 20 William Cintron will perform his Jersey Boys tribute featuring the music of the Four Seasons and others at Herb Skolnick Community Center, 800 SW 36 Ave., Pompano Beach.  The concerts begin at 7:30 .pm with doors opening at 6:30 pm.  Admission is $14.00

Grateful Dead Tribute at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre

Get out your tie-dye and summon your inner Deadhead — the Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) is coming to Pompano Beach. Celebrating over 20 years and over 2,700 shows, DSO continues the Grateful Dead concert experience by performing shows based on famous setlists from the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring. DSOs seven insanely talented musicians allow fans both young and old to experience the spirit of the Grateful Dead. This year DSO will recreate the historic Grateful Dead setlist from the band’s September 11, 1982 show in West Palm Beach.WHEN: Saturday, March 30; doors open at 5:30pm; show is at 7 pm WHERE: Pompano Beach Amphitheater, 1806 NE Sixth St., Pompano Beach COST: Tickets start at $29 plus ticketing fees and can be purchased by visiting the Pompano Amp website,

The Dark Star Orchestra is one of the world’s best known Grateful Dead tribute bands.  They have been performing together for over 21 years and over 2800 shows. Dark Star Orchestra continues on today providing a genuine Grateful Dead concert experience. Their shows are built on the  extensive song and concert library of the dead and the talent of the seven fine musicians that make up the tribute band. They will often re-enact a show based on the set list from specific Grateful Dead concerts spanning their 30 years of extensive touring or will use the Dead catalog to perform a unique set list for the show,allowing both young and old to share in the Dead experience.

Music under the Stars

Every month, the city of Pompano Beach presents the Music under the Stars free concert series.  It happens every second Friday of each month. The music begins at 7:00 pm on the Great Lawn located at the intersection of Atlantic and Pompano Beach Boulevard, right next to the Beach. Coming on April 12 is  The KuKooz playing Classic Rock favorites.  Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and cooler.
