[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]POMPANO BEACH REEF CLEAN-UP: Saturday, June 29, the Southeast Florida Coral Reef Initiative (SEFCRI) is hosting its 9th annual Southeast Florida Reef Cleanup to get divers involved in taking care of the reefs they enjoy when scuba diving. For those who want to help collect and record marine debris, there will be prizes for whoever picks up the most plastic and the oddest debris. There will also be giveaways to all divers who participate in the Pompano Beach event.

Participants should check into the boat at 7:30am since the boat departs at 8:30am for a Two Tank Dive Trip. The cost for the trip is $65 plus tax and does not include the price of oxygen tanks. There will be a Reef Cleanup representative on board to help record the marine debris and weigh it. Divers should bring a mesh bag for collecting and a cutting device to bring up fishing line.

To sign up for the dive, register online or at one of SEFCRI’s Force-E stores. Pompano Beach’s Force-E store is located at 1312 N Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach.
