The latest forecast projections has Broward County out of the “Cone of Uncertainty”, however  a Tropical storm watch has been issued for Florida’s east coast from Deerfield Beach to north of Vero Beach. So, technically speaking Deerfield Beach is the only Broward city in the storm watch advisory are while not in the “cone”.  This is positive news for most of Broward County’s coastal cities, but we still far from being out of danger.  Heavy rain, winds and flooding are still expected in the North Broward Coastal Communities including Pompano Beach, Lighthouse Point and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, as well as Deerfield Beach.  When Hurricane Dorian come close to us it is still likely to be a Category 4 storm, even if it off the shore and not a direct hit.

SUNDAY UPDATE: Sandbags will not be distributed on Sunday, September 1, 2019 in Deerfield Beach.
