[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This year’s annual Deerfield Beach Pier Cleanup and Guinness World Record Attempt brought a record number of people to the Deerfield Beach Fishing Pier on June 15 to participate both underwater, and above water. More than 1,000 people attended the event and 633 divers participated in the dive/record attempt, setting a world record for the largest underwater ocean cleanup. Dozens of organizations — scuba clubs, ocean conservation groups, dive shops, volunteer organizations and marine researchers — attended the event. The strong turnout revealed a large national and international network of people committed to conserving the ocean and its marine life.

Below, meet some of the people who attended this year’s event:[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”8109″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8111″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8097″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8098″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8099″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8096″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8100″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8095″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8094″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”8110″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
