New video and pictures show the Pompano Beach Pier is even closer to completion. Work also is progressing on Oceanic restaurant and Lucky Fish Bar and Grill.

You can see that workers have installed customized protective awnings.  They have been installed to primarily to provide shade for patrons visiting the Pier on sunny days.  From our photos, you will see they also offer protection from the rain 🙂

City officials have told us May or June is the expected target date for the completion of the Fishing Pier project. However,  the new outdoor Lucky Fish Bar and Grill will be located at the entry to the pier and that needs to be finished so people can phyically get onto the pier.  The city and developers remain committed to having it open for the big annual 4th of July fireworks show planned for the location.

There has been minimal visible work on the  Lucky Fish but hopefully because that is primarily an outdoor facility, it will move along quickly.  Click on the link to see what it will look like upon completion.

Lucky Fish is located adjacent to the Oceanic restaurant.  You can look here to see what Oceanic will look like when it opens up.  The two restaurants will form a beachfront threesome along with the Beach House Pompano. The Beach House opened over a year ago and Mike Mayo recently selected their key lime pie as the best in South Florida.

We will continue to keep you up to date with news, pictures and video of the progress on the pier, the restaurants and the entire Pompano Beach Fishing Village on our website and in the pages of Pompano! magazine.
