With Pompano Beach Mayor Lamar Fisher opting to run for Broward County Commission, this November, residents will be choosing a new mayor for the first time in over a decade. The important election will determine where Pompano goes from here, and the campaign has been intense and controversial.

There are four candidates running for Pompano Beach Mayor: Rex Hardin. Cyndy Flloyd, Michael Sobel and Debrasia LeSane. Pompano! Magazine columnist Jeff Levine reached out to them all with a simple questionnaire hoping to gather some insight into their points of view. Candidate Michael Sobel declined to respond. The other three candidate’s responses can be read in their entirety below. Please be aware, the candidates responses have not been fact-checked and are entirely un-edited, in their original form.
