“DENIM & DIAMONDS” BENEFITS WOODHOUSE

CASINO NIGHT DANCERS

A frisky bunch of folks showed up at the 21st Annual Casino event on October 22nd, sponsored by the Soroptimist International of Pompano Beach, and held at the Pompano Beach Elks Club. The yearly affair benefits the Woodhouse Foundation.

A Silent Auction and a Chinese Auction were the evening’s feature, along with a raffle for wine baskets. Joe Balistreri provided an excellent array of dance music with his new hi-tech system that included videos flashed on a huge screen. When Tina Turner began her version of  “Proud Mary,” about 15 women that ordinarily remain quite reserved and proper during these events, suddenly took the dance floor and began making moves only Lady Gaga has made and heretofore never seen in these parts. In fact, by camera had difficulty in focusing on some of the wilder ladies. I give Joey Balistreri a thumbs up!

Those sponsoring the event were: Dooney & Bourke Purse, Doc’s Plumbing, Lighthouse Point Magazine, Anti-Aging& Skin Disorder Facial Treatment, Hand-painted Fish, Pillars Hotel, McLean & Ema, 5 Days Doggie Care, Seminoles, Take Home Teeth Whitening, Teri Kovacs Photography, Lighthouse Point Gym, Ocean Point Resort, Dr. Holz, Dr. Gregory Gertzen, Cucina Orecchio, plus many items.
