Pompano Beach’s Brazilian Festival is one of the largest in the country. With two stages, approximately 200 vendors, carnival rides, games and 300,000-square-feet of venue space, the festival has a lot to see, do and taste. Visitors get a taste of Brazil’s rich culture, food and music in addition to sampling other international cuisines. Headlining this year’s festival on the main stage is Paralamas Do Sucesso, a rock, reggae and ska band and winner of four latin Grammy awards including the 2007 “Latin Legend” award.

When: Saturday Oct. 21 from 11am to 10pm and Sunday Oct. 22 from 11am to 8pm

Where: Pompano Beach Community Park, at the intersection of NE 10th St. & U.S. 1 Pompano Beach

COMEDY CLUB & CLASS CLOWNS @ Pompano Beach Cultural Center

If your comments get lots of LMAO’s and you always leave a room smiling, then you just might have what it takes to open the November 25th concert featuring Tony! Toni! Toné! with Dru Hill and Sisqo at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater.

Those interested in participating in the competition must submit a 3-minute YouTube video showcasing their comedy skills with an arts related theme. Submission details at www.ccpompano.org.

The first Class Clowns showcase will take place August 31st at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, followed by September 21, October 5 and the final round on October 26th.
